Hardness Technician – Night Shift with day shift training
The hardness technician performs Rockwell and Brinell hardness testing as a primary function. Additionally, the hardness technician may be expected to assist in other areas of the Quality department. This may include:
Reading and verifying stamping on parts. Performs first article inspection on stamped parts.
Understands the fundamentals of Rockwell & Brinell hardness testing (training provided as part of job training).
Completes daily verification of hardness testers (Rockwell & Brinell).
Performs hardness testing on production lots and as first article inspection for machine shop & heat treatment.
Performs hand gaging activities both before and after coating.
Performs dot peen stamping.
Final Inspection of machined parts
First piece inspections on parts that are being run in the machine shop
Lifting parts repetitively that could weigh in the excess of 50lbs
Lifting parts repetitively that could weigh in the excess of 50lbs
Computer Literate, Forklift. ( Excel, Word).
Schedule: 2nd shift 6:00pm – 6:00am
Steel toe shoe required
Temp to hire
Pay rate 16 – 17 DOE
Safety glasses provided by US Bolt Mfg.
