Maintenance Mechanic-Machine Shop

Schedule: 1st Shift (5 AM to 5 PM) Monday through Friday

Weekends and OT when required

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This position contributes to the company’s success by performing accurate and

efficient complex maintenance and installation of all phases of mechanical equipment and to serve as a

quality control point for the work of less senior maintenance mechanics and ensure all work is

performed in a safe manner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Experience with Industrial and Forging Equipment Maintenance a plus

Observe functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards/problems and need for adjustments,
repairs or replacement
Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment within the establishment
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems
Disassemble machinery and repairs or replaces broken parts
Dismantle, test and analyze malfunctioning equipment, hand tools and power tool and tests apparatus
to locate defects
Clean and lubricate parts
Provide advice, guidance and training to less senior maintenance mechanics
Inspect the work of others
Ability to work overtime as needed
Other duties as assigned

Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Excellent knowledge of mechanical processes and procedures
Excellent knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment

Education and/or Experience:

Physical Requirements:

Standing, bending, sitting, lifting up to 50#, squatting and walking for 8 to 10 hours per day.
