Overall Responsibility: This position is responsible for ensuring products are manufactured in accordance with FDA regulatory requirements as well as company procedures and polices.

Job functions: This job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position. Incumbents will follow any other instructions, and perform any other duties, as assigned by their supervisor. Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:


– Assembling, sanitizing and operating tablet presses and/ or encapsulating machines and all associated equipment

– Monitoring product for quality defects during production runs and ensuring machines are operating at optimal settings

– Accurately calibrating production machines and making adjustments when necessary to achieve product specifications

– Ensuring all logs and batch record procedural steps are followed and documented accurately

– During manufacturing, maintain production rooms in a clean and organized manner to ensure product quality

– Handling all products, equipment, raw materials and utensils in a manner that protects against contamination

– Perform basic machine troubleshooting and repairs when necessary

– Alerting the Lead production operator when discrepancies are found with either machines or products

– Monitoring and recording all losses occurred during production runs

– Disassembling and cleaning tablet presses and/ or encapsulating machines

– Cleaning and prepping production rooms for production runs

– Observing all GMP, Safety and company polices


Work requirements and skills

– Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required for this position

– Previous or similar work experience is preferred, but not required

– Must be able to complete Production Operator I training

– Must demonstrate flexibility when re-prioritization is necessary

– Must be able to work overtime, or a modified schedule, when the company deems it necessary

– Must be able to wear the necessary, job-related personal protective equipment

– Ability to lift (up to 50-lbs), stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, stretch, step and climb occasionally during the duration of the shift
